Santa is Coming to Atoka on Friday
I have changed our Pack meeting from Monday December 15 to Friday, December 19. As you know, local schools dismissed early on Monday due to the projected weather. I err'ed on the side of safety and postponed our meeting with Santa to a later date. Wednesday is the night for the church fellowship, that ruled that day out. Thursday was reserved by the Town of Atoka for their Christmas party, so Friday was the soonest we could have our visit. With that being said, Our December Pack meeting has been changed to Friday, December 19, 2008 and will start at 6:15 p.m. The Friends of Scouting presentation will start at 6:15 followed by the drawing for our scouts that reached their popcorn goal. Santa will be arriving around 7:00 p.m. Parents are welcomed to bring cameras in order to capture this wonderful event.

2008 Pinewood Derby
Atoka Pack 60 Pinewood Derby for 2008 was a huge success. We had 37 Scouts register their cars and compete for the title of Grand Champion. Logan won the title and some great looking hardware to go with it. Trophies were awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each den along with 3 trophies for best design. The winners of the dens competed in the overall division and 3 winners were awarded some really sweet lookin' trophies. Additionally, we had 16 youths and 10 adults enter our open class with first place trophies awarded in each of those categories. 20 trophies in all were awarded for some awesome looking and running cars. Great job to all parents and scouts for another Fun-filled Pack event.
